Hello

Welcome To Art By Elena

Elena Hajda's Oil Paintings capitalize on her utmost fascination with light and atmosphere. Originally from Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, she attended Art school from the age of 9, and has been heavily influenced by the creative aspect her entire life.

After successfully completing fashion design in college, Elena transitioned into the world of custom clothing creation until moving to Canada in the Winter of 2012. Homesick and adjusting to culture shock, Elena reverted to the world she knew best, causing her pallet knife to reemerge as an outlet for the excessive amount of creative enterprise yet to be capitalized upon within her.

Through Elena's work, vibrancy and color find a synchronicity, depth and dimension. Working from a politically neutral perspective, Elena strives to bring peace, calm and warmth to the world around her.

In 2014, Elena's work would have it's most impactful creation based stimulant to date injected into it. With the Russo-Ukrainian War, and related political upheaval in full swing, Elena's painting became her outlet to transition a world riddled with strife, trauma and difficulty, into something that could bring peace to those who would interact with it.

In her near 25 years as a professional artist, Elena has managed to have her work displayed across Canada, The United States, The EU and The Ukraine specifically. She's donated multiple pieces over the years to charitable causes, and has consistently lived by the model of trying to create a world of calm for those around her.
